What an excellent day out. Bus from school to Pittodrie, where we were escorted to our seats and lavished with freebies.
The match was quite exciting (the second half at least). It was the first time some of the kids had been to a live football match and experienced the atmosphere.
After the match the bus stopped at Balmedie for a chip-shop supper. A welcome treat after a few hours in the cold.
The stadium was far from full but considering the sub zero temperatures attendance still exceeded 10,000.
Substitute Gary McDonald headed home the first goal just a few minutes after replacing the injured Andrew Considine and the second goal was a penalty taken by Lee Miller after Motherwell's Paul Quinn's foul on Darren Mackie (who would certainly have scored had Quinn not taken him down). Quinn was sent off as a result leaving Motherwell with 10 men and 25 minutes still to go.

The tickets. Seat numbers were a few rows apart but the group were in one area so we sorted out individual seating when we got there
