Home made Pizza

Mama K, Pizza cook.
The Challenge - compare home made bases with ready made packaged bases

Step 1 - Add flour mix to bowl and have warm water and stirring spoon to hand

Step 2 - Mix until a soft malleable dough is achieved

Step 3 - Knead for 5 minutes

Step 4 - Roll to create a base of desired size and thickness

The competition. Good quality, pre-packaged bases

Step 5 - Commence tomato puree base coat

Carefully spread by Mama K

Voila. Ready for topping

Step 6 - Commence topping to suit taste. This was a shared pizza so each segment had different toppings, as you will see.
Mushrooms first

Smoked sausage and ham

Chicken, olives and jalapenos

Mozarella cheese to finish off

Verdict - It was a unanimous decision - The home made base was far better. The pre-packaged base was too dry and firm, unlike the Mama K base, which kept its moisture and tasted better. It's home made bases for us from now on.
Yummy, the finished product

THE CHAMPION

The Big '4-0' and 18th Unbirthday Party

Happy Birthday to us. M hits the Big 4-0 and C hits 18 on the same day. A Big celebration was arranged with bouncy castle gladiator game, buffet, slideshow, background "Alice in Wonderland" film, balloons, decorations, cake, etc, etc.

It was a great night and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. Before we tell the story we'd like to say Thank You to everyone for their kind wishes, cards and presents....and a Special Thank You to those that turned out in fancy dress, some of which were truly fantastic. Now on to the story.

Once Upon a Time......

A picture of an invitation. Actually two invitations so you can see what is on either side. We chose Alice in Wonderland for our costumes and themed the invites on the same, hence the giant playing cards
